Shelly
Starks’ love for music began as a little girl. From the very
beginning stages of singing in the church pew to the present day
live performances on stage, her passion for music can be seen in
everything that she does. Writing lyrics and melodies has only
come recently for Shelly, but it has quickly become her greatest
passion in music. Shelly knows the awesome responsibility that
comes with writing lyrics and the impact they can have on
someone. Her goal is to write and record music that touches the
country audience.
Shelly
finds a way to incorporate music into even the simplest things
in life. Music is everywhere, in every corner of our collective
existence, and Shelly believes that it is so much easier to live
every aspect of our lives, like learning
something difficult or even the simple things like teaching her daughter to tie her shoes
when music is a part of it.
There
are so many people that forget how to dream for one reason or
another. In an industry filled with competition and often times
doubt, Shelly believes that God placed this dream of becoming an
artist in her heart long before she ever realized it was there.
But when the opportunity presented itself, there was something
inside her that came alive! Shelly knew that with opportunity
comes uncertainty, doubt and fear of failing, but she also knows
that you can’t hide behind all of that. You’ll never do the
things you were meant to do if you hide behind that fear!
Shelly lives in the Tampa Bay area with her husband and her
daughter. Passion, integrity and sheer determination will be
what takes this break out Country artist to the top!
